Venue Rental Agreement

This Venue Rental Agreement (“Agreement”) is between The Merc Room (“Owner”) and the person who books the venue online (“Renter”). It takes effect on the date the Renter books.

1. Venue
The Owner agrees to rent the Renter the event room at 15230 S Highway 39, Suite C, Stockton, MO 65785 (“Venue”). The Venue seats up to 50 guests.
2. Rental period
The rental date, start time and end time are the ones the Renter selects when booking, as shown in the booking confirmation email. Setup and cleanup must happen within the rental period. The Venue is self-entry: the Owner will text a door code to the Renter’s phone number before the rental, and the Renter enters and exits through the back door. The code is for the Renter’s use only and must not be shared.
3. Rental fee and payment
- Weekday (Monday–Thursday): 4 hours $65, or all day (8 hours) $100.
- Weekend (Friday–Sunday): 4 hours $110, or all day (8 hours) $180.
- Optional cleaning service: $100.
- The total rental fee is paid in full by card through the online booking when the Renter books. The amount paid appears in the booking confirmation.
4. Purpose of rental
The Renter agrees to use the Venue only for the type of event selected when booking.
5. Cancellation policy
- Cancellation 30 or more days before the event: full refund.
- Cancellation less than 30 days before the event: no refund.

6. Responsibilities and restrictions
- The Renter is responsible for setup and cleanup, unless the cleaning service was added when booking.
- No smoking, illegal activities or excessive noise.
- The Renter must obtain any permits required for the event.
- No structural modifications, and no decorations that cause damage.
7. Liability and insurance
The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold the Owner harmless from any claims, injuries or damages.
8. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, government restrictions or other emergencies.
9. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri.
10. Signatures
The Renter signs this Agreement by checking the agreement box and typing their full name when booking. The typed name is the Renter’s electronic signature, and the booking date is the date signed. The Owner accepts this Agreement by confirming the booking. The booking confirmation email, with the Renter’s signature, is sent to both parties.
